K.Lee has written a very interesting novel. I recommend that you read this one first and then read Walk in my Shoes. The main character here really has to endure much but everything has a purpose. Simone, Mia and Kira and Valarie have a great friendship and bond. Their relationships and personal matters are real and the lessons learned are for everyone. The fun you have can also turn on you, so watch yourself and be careful. Everyone has a past and reason for their actions, but keep the faith and take time out for you always, if you don't love yourself, then how can you love someone else or have someone love you!! I look forward to reading more from K.Lee, she is an extraordinary writer...
Oh my so real and so TRUE......., December 20, 2005
This review is from: A New Normal (Paperback)
I had the pleasure of meeting K. Lee in a communications class and was very impressed by her atmosphere. I have read this book and the writing stlye of this novel is how I imagined it would be after meeting her. I started reading it and just could not put it down, it reminded me of so many situations in my life past, present and I am sure yet to come(but prepared for now). Reading this novel has given my some new insight of who I really am and who it is that I need to become to humble myself in my journey through life. Thanks so much K. you taught me things in class and even more through this novel. Looking forward to upcoming novels.....

This review is from: A New Normal (Paperback)
K. Lee has set the stage for us all with this one! This novel was inspirational, challenging, confronting and affirming on every page. I read it in one day because I just simply WANTED TO READ PAGE AFTER PAGE. Clearly the "NEW NORMAL" takes transformation of relationships beginning with God and Self to another level. Hats of to K. Lee for RAISING THE BAR in this, her first novel!
